‘Eco Wall’ Wins Interbuild’s Product Of The Year

Ecological Building Systems UK Ltd are this year’s Overall Best Product Winners at Interbuild 2008. Their ‘Eco Wall’ took top honours in the Eco Product Awards before taking the best of the best from all seven award categories.

‘Eco Wall’ provides an ecological alternative to conventional methods of timber frame construction by combining high levels of energy efficiency and safety from potential problems associated with condensation risk. Eco Wall whilst having minimum embodied energy offers high levels of comfort and health using natural materials with a significantly reduced carbon footprint.

The Awards were judged by a panel of 8 across a broad section from the construction industry and chaired by Michael Ankers, Chief Executive of the Construction Products Association. In his speech Mr Ankers made reference to Eco Wall as a product capable of giving a completely sustainable solution yet combining several innovative features in one package. Eco Wall has high levels of airtightness with due consideration for moisture management creating healthy low energy buildings.

The Awards were presented by David Bellamy to Penny Randell, Business Development Manager with Ecological Building Systems UK Ltd. She said; “We are absolutely delighted to win Product of the Year from such outstanding entries. Ecological Building Systems have been at the forefront of sustainable construction solutions for a decade and now have a total ecological solution for timber frame builders to not only minimise their environmental impact but also gain great levels of energy efficiency and comfort for the home owner. To be recognised by such a prestigious panel of judges is a great accolade.”
