Thermoroom

GUTEX Thermoroom is a single ply woodfibre homogenous insulation board, which is ideal for the retrofit market. Thermoroom is applied directly to the inside of external walls in old buildings with the proprietary GUTEX adhesive plastering system. Plaster on existing walls should be plumb and straight prior to the application of the boards. If existing walls contain a gypsum based plaster this should be removed and replaced with a lime based plaster prior to application. Gypsum plasters are less resistant to mould growth. Lime based plasters are more diffusion open to vapour movement and inherently resistant to mould growth.

Thermoroom is finished with the proprietary GUTEX plastering system. A dew point assessment should be conducted on the wall to assess condensation risks prior to application of the board. As with all insulation materials, it is important that any existing moisture issues, such as rising damp or existing moisture within existing walls should be treated prior to the application of any insulation boards.
