DÄMMSTATT

DÄMMSTATT CI 040 cellulose insulation material is manufactured from daily newspapers. We sort the paper and grind it into insulating cellulose flakes. The path from newspaper to insulation material requires little energy and no water. Thus, the manufacture of our insulation materials has clearly fewer disadvantages for the environment than the manufacture of conventional products.

Pure cellulose is flammable and vulnerable to pests and mold fungi. For this reason, our insulation materials are protected by the addition of aluminum hydrate and boric acid. Our borate-free products DÄMMSTATTs CI 040 borate-free and DÄMMSTATTs CI insulation filling borate-free contain ammonium phosphate and Fungotannin, manufactured from the bark extract tannin. These additives are biodegradable and make it possible to dispose of our products by means of composting. We have been able to reduce the percentage of additives to 12 weight percent by means of further technical development.
