Installation Instructions:
- HOMATHERM® silentTop can be installed in existing build or new build
- Care must be taken to ensure that silentTop is not mislaid at installation stage
- The exact area must be calculated & the distance between each of the HDF strips should be considered
- The silentTop system will add a small amount to the height of the floor (at least 40mm)
- When considering a concrete floor it is advised to firstly install an appropriate damp proof membrane
- All connections to the wall around the perimeter must be sealed with insulating border strips (i.e. carpet or any flexible insulation material), in order to avoid a sound bridge which may occur
- Wood fibre wall strips must be circulated around the complete perimeter of the construction. This is necessary for all protruding walls, beams & recesses in the room
- Door openings around the wall perimeter must be paid particular attention. The wall strips must be installed around the door area
- Insulating panels & wood fibre strips can be installed & aligned with conventional tools
