DB PLUS
The airtightness of the vapour check has a dramatic effect on the performance of all buildings. Uncontrolled air leakage can result in high fuel bills, failure of building components, unhealthy and uncomfortable internal living conditions and increased builder call backs.
In all building structures, especially timber based constructions, it is also important to limit the amount of moisture both within the building and inside every building element (i.e. interstitial condensation). Up to now it has been impossible to procure a vapour check which provides both a consistent airtight layer, and guarantees increased interstitial condensation prevention.
A standard vapour check, which is installed to a high level of airtightness, will have great benefits for both the building and its inhabitants, however these vapour checks are designed to have a high vapour resistance, and hence offer limited protection against interstitial condensation. This greatly reduces the drying potential of the building structure. This is especially significant in extremely humid climatic conditions, which Ireland constantly experiences.
The principle raw material used to produce pro clima DB PLUS is recycled paper which is strengthened with a reinforcement layer.
In all building structures, especially timber based constructions, it is important to limit the amount of moisture both within building and inside every building element (i.e. interstitial condensation).
The pro clima DB PLUS humidity variable vapour check provides a consistent internal airtight seal for the construction, while reducing the risk of interstitial condensation in both humid summer conditions and dry winter conditions. In humid summer conditions pro clima DB PLUS allows more diffusion and in winter conditions it permits less diffusion, ensuring the building remains in excellent physical shape, hence protecting the building fabric from harmful moisture.
DB PLUS is available in a roll size of 1.35 x 50m.
pro clima DB PLUS provides the optimum solution to airtightness as it automatically adapts to atmospheric conditions, ensuring the building remains in good physical shape, healthy and airtight.
