The new Ecological Building Systems ‘Centre of Knowledge’ is now open at our base in Athboy, County Meath.

The ‘Centre of Knowledge’ will be used to display best practice detailing with the range of innovative pro clima airtight solutions as well as natural thermal insulation: GUTEX, Thermo Hemp, Thermafleece, Dämmstatt and Calsitherm.

With building standards and regulations becoming more stringent than ever, there is a requirement to increase knowledge in the delivery of truly low energy, durable, healthy buildings. This can only be achieved by focusing on the fabric of the construction.

Construction industry professionals are finding themselves faced with products and systems that can require very different skills from more traditional building materials and methods.

With this in mind the Centre has been developed to help address the skills gap facing the construction industry – a key barrier to meeting targets for improving the energy efficiency and sustainability of our built environment. The Centre will also be an invaluable resource for specifiers and anybody interested in sustainable building products and solutions.
