Gutex has been making wood fibre insulation in Germany's Black Forest since 1932, the first manufacturer in Europe to do so, and still one of the world's most innovative. At the heart of the range, Gutex 5in1 is a breathable, tongue-and-groove sarking board that insulates and windproofs your roof or wall in a single step. Its high thermal mass absorbs heat slowly, keeping buildings warm in winter and protecting them from overheating in summer.
For internal wall insulation, Gutex Thermoroom is a fully breathable board for solid masonry external walls. It provides thermal performance all year round while preventing the condensation and mould risk which can be associated with non-breathable alternatives.
Every Gutex product is primarily manufactured using renewable energy, is made from a combination of recycled and virgin wood chips from sustainably managed forests and is certified to Natureplus environmental standards.
