Warm pitched roofs, where some or all of the insulation is applied over the rafters, are increasingly common due to stricter thermal requirements and other benefits. These include better thermal continuity, improved acoustic performance, reduced condensation risk, safer installation, and increased living space within the roof. However, careful installation is essential to prevent over-compression, ensure long-lasting fixings, and avoid future movement or failure of the insulation and roof structure.
