Case Study: Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Project Tranquility House, Dublin
Thursday 24th April 2025
In Memory of Julian Benson
This project stands as a lasting tribute to Julian Benson, whose vision and compassion led to the founding of the Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Since his passing on the 19th of April 2025, his legacy will continue to bring hope and comfort to families across Ireland.
The Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Dermot Bannon Architects collaborated to transform a 162-year-old Victorian house in Rathgar into Tranquility House, a dedicated home away from home for cystic fibrosis patients and their families. Our supply partners and the ecological team were proud to provide technical support and contribute with natural vapour open paints and cork lime thermal plaster that enhanced the comfort and longevity of this historic restoration while retaining its architectural features.
