Product Overview

Main purpose

For use with Aerosana Visconn and Aerosana Visconn Fibre, to bridge wide cracks, holes, gaps and joints, that are more than 20mm wide, between building components. Acts as a surface onto which the liquid airtight membrane can be applied to cover the gap fully and create an airtight and windtight seal.

Use it on

Walls, ceilings or floors where Aerosana Visconn or Aerosana Visconn Fibre is also being used; typically onto un-plastered masonry, brickwork, blockwork, concrete, timber or wood-based panels.

Overview

Pro Clima Aerosana Fleece is an accessory for Aerosana Visconn and Aerosana Visconn Fibre liquid airtight membrane. It is a fabric made from PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) and can be used to cover over large cracks, holes, gaps and joints that are wider than 3 mm (when used with Aerosana Visconn) or wider than 20 mm (when used with Aerosana Visconn Fibre).  The fleece bridges gaps and then is painted or sprayed over with the liquid membrane to completely seal the entire area. It can be used on walls, ceilings and floors onto surfaces such as unplastered masonry, brick, block, concrete, timber or wood-based panels.

Where to use it

Aerosana Fleece can be used with Aerosana Visconn and Aerosana Visconn Fibre on walls, ceilings, floors on to surfaces like unplastered masonry, brick, block, concrete, timber or wood-based panels.

What it does

Pro Clima Aerosana Fleece is a fabric made of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate). It is an ancillary component of the liquid applied Aerosana Visconn and Aerosana Visconn Fibre airtight and windtight sealant system. It can be used to bridge gaps, cracks, holes or joints wider than 3mm (in combination with Aerosana Visconn) or wider than 20mm (in combination with Aerosana Visconn Fibre).  It forms a background over the gaps onto which the liquid airtight membrane can be applied thereby sealing the whole area airtight.

Why we love it

Aerosana Fleece, in combination with the Aerosana Visconn and Aerosana Visconn Fibre liquid airtight membrane, is an excellent versatile airtight and windtight system that can be used in a variety of junctions and hard to access areas or where application of tapes, membranes or other sealants would prove too cumbersome. It is easy to use and can be a DIY solution.

How it works

The fabric of the Aerosana Fleece in combination with the Aerosana Visconn and Aerosana Visconn Fibre works by forming an elastic membrane over wide cracks, gaps and joints to eliminate any unwanted air leakage. It can be used to bridge gaps, cracks or joints wider than 3mm (in combination with Aerosana Visconn) or wider than 20mm (in combination with Aerosana Visconn Fibre). It is an ideal solution for wide gaps by creating a long-term flexible seal on the airtight connections of various substrates, rather than using expanding foam sealants.

Features

  • Easy to work with/ Flexible malleable fleece material
  • No expanding foam required
  • Perfect for retrofit
  • DIY solution

Benefits

  • Ensures airtightness and windtightness as part of the Aerosana Visconn/Fibre system
  • As a component of the Aerosana Visconn/Fibre system it creates a much more effective and suitable seal at wider cracks and joints where expanding foams or brittle silicone sealants could potentially be ineffective
  • Highly versatile; comes in rolls and can be cut to the required length
  • Avoid the use of messy, less effective and non-permanent expanding foams
  • No hazardous material (tested according to ISO 16000 evaluation scheme)

Installation Guide

Find an installer

To achieve a full airtight or windtight installation, the edges of the gap or hole (where the fleece will make contact) must be fully coated with Aerosana Visconn or Aerosana Visconn Fibre before the fleece is applied. The fleece should be applied while the liquid membrane is still wet to ensure it fully bonds to the structure.  Then the fleece can be painted or sprayed with a topcoat of Aerosana Visconn.
