Financial Controller

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller (FC) who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of Ecological, ensuring robust financial control, reporting, compliance, and strategic support across all entities. The FC will play a key role in supporting business growth, ensuring financial discipline, and providing actionable insights to senior management. As Ecological Building Systems continues to grow, the FC will have a pivotal role in ensuring the reporting systems match the needs of the business and provide the senior leadership team with accessible, timely and integrated management information.

Requirements 

Essential Experience & Skills: 

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) 
• 4+ years post-qualification experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment 
• Strong technical accounting knowledge & business understanding 
• Experience with ERP/financial systems implementation or development 
• Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning 
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills 

Desirable: 

• Experience in the construction, manufacturing or distribution sectors 
• Previous involvement in a group finance function, ideally within a family-owned business 
• Experience in managing finance across both Irish and UK jurisdictions 
• Knowledge of VAT and tax in both Ireland and the UK
